SEQUENCE DATA BASES
The program PRESTO-PC includes facilities for searching databases for substrings in sequences. INTERPROBE provides versions of the PIR a d SWISSPROT databases that are suitable for this purpose. In addition there is a smaller database of the sequences derived from entries in the Protein DataBank.
