PROTEINS-PC

PROTEINS-PC is a program which produces files in INTERCHEM-D format suitable for input to INTERCHEM-PC, starting with a file downloaded from the Protein Data Bank.

Note that in contrast to the program PROTEINS (for SGI systems) the program does not require the presence of a local copy of the DataBank.

INTERCHEM-PC has the option of linking directly with a remote copy of the DataBank.

Features of the program

• For protein structures in the Data Bank the output files may be:-
  • Complete structures
  • Backbone structures
  • Alpha-carbon structures
  • Complete structure file with tha ddition of hydrogens
  • Complete structure file for a single NMR model structure
• For nucleic acid and carbohydrate structure only full structure files are produced .
